Rascals are always sociable, and the chief sign that a man has any nobility in his character is the little pleasure he takes in others company. Arthur Schopenhauer

Today I finished watching the final episode of Three-Body (三体) and I don’t have words to explain how beautiful the whole series was. The movie is based on a science fiction novel written by the Chinese writer Liu Cixin, called The Three-Body Problem.

The series portrays a fictional past, present and future where, in the first book, Earth encounters an alien civilization in a nearby star system that consists of three sun-like stars orbiting each other in an unstable system.

My favorite characters? Shi Qian of course, Xu Bingbing and Chang Weisi.

No spoilers, I suggest starting here. It’s a beautiful, beautiful but bleak story and I loved every second of it.
