Leah Lazonick: Movimenti Dalla Luna D'Oro

Léah Lazonick is a Brooklyn-based film composer, songwriter, and producer. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, and a Master’s Degree in Film Music Composition from NYU Steinhardt, she has composed orchestral and electronic scores for short films and commercials, and her songs have appeared in a number of features and documentaries.
In 2012, she traveled to Portugal to conduct and record four of her compositions with the prestigious West European Studio Orchestra. Meanwhile, her burgeoning career as a songwriter and solo performer has led her to open for notable artists like Molly Nilsson, and her debut album is set for release in the coming year.
In addition, she will appear on forthcoming releases by Francis Harris, Anthony Collins, and Black Light Smoke on the New York-based label Scissor & Thread. Léah is also a classically-trained pianist, and DJs regularly throughout the Brooklyn and Manhattan areas, drawing on her extensive knowledge of vinyl obscurities.
